Anya and Becky's Surprise Mission![]
During Anya and the others' way to school in the morning, Becky cannot stop hiccupping. When Damian, Emile, and Ewen tease her with the superstition that she will die if she hiccups 100 times, Anya believes them. In order to stop her best friend from dying from hiccups, Anya tries her best to stop Becky's hiccups.
Summary[]
On her way to class at Eden Academy, Anya greets Becky, who has a bad case of hiccups and cannot stop it. Damian, Emile, and Ewen hear Becky's hiccups and make fun of her, and after trading insults, they talk about a rumor that if someone hiccups 100 times, they will die. Anya believes this and quickly becomes worried for Becky, who has hiccupped about 20 times now. Becky tries to assure Anya that it will not happen but continues to hiccup, worrying Anya even more.
During cleaning duty, Becky still has hiccups, and Anya has lost count of how many times she has hiccupped. Not wanting to lose her best friend, Anya grows stressed as she thinks of how Loid would have come up with a solution already and runs away from Becky in frustration. Meanwhile, Damian is with his friends, who are trying to convince him to have lunch at their dorm instead of studying in class after cleaning. After seeing Anya walking by with a sad expression, Damian leaves to check on her. Damian finds Anya crying by herself while worrying about Becky; feeling bad for her, he tells her of an old saying that getting surprised can stop hiccups. Anya is happy that Damian is helping her, making him embarrassed as he tries to justify his reasons for doing so. Anya starts thinking of ideas to surprise Becky, and Damian suggests telling her something surprising, adding that it can even be a lie. Grateful for his help, Anya thanks Damian, and they look for Becky together.
Anya begins by lying to Becky that she hates peanuts, but is shocked when she barely reacts. Anya quickly consults Damian, who tells her to say something surprising about something Becky cares about. Remembering Becky's crush on Loid, Anya lies that Loid secretly only wears underpants on his days off. Becky is so surprised by this that it stops her hiccupping. Anya happily celebrates and explains that she planned to surprise Becky so she would not die, and Becky is touched by how much her best friend cares for her. Anya tells Becky that Damian helped her with the plan, but is surprised to find him gone. Damian has returned to his friends, who have just finished cleaning up. They notice Damian's good mood and ask if something good happened, but he denies them in embarrassment as they head back to their dorm.
