The SPY x FAMILY x PUBG Mobile Collaboration was a collaboration effort between SPY x FAMILY and the battle royale game PUBG Mobile (PUBGモバイル). It offered themed gameplay and collection cards with various in-game items based around the characters of SPY x FAMILY.
Description[]
PUBG Mobile is a free-to-play mobile version of the video game PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, which was inspired by the Japanese action film Battle Royale. It includes log-in bonuses, missions and micro-goals, crew recruiting, map and compass improvements with larger and clearer markers near the teammates, an auto-loot system, as well as an increased number of bots.
PUBG Mobile was published by multiple publishers in different regions, including Tencent Holdings Ltd., Krafton Inc., and VNG Corporation. The collaboration between SPY x FAMILY and the Japanese oriented version of PUBG was first teased on March 5, 2024, and officially announced on March 7, 2024. More detailed information was provided on the game website, which launched on April 5, 2024; the collaboration was also announced to start from April 12 to May 13, 2024 on the same day.
Gameplay[]
In a SPY x FAMILY-themed "Prize Path" event, players were able to obtain the new collaboration items and outfits. After unlocking the prize path in the game, players were to complete special missions or spend UC (PUBG Mobile's in-game currency) to earn points and upgrade their Prize Path level in order to obtain the exclusive rewards, reaching up to 20 levels. At Level 20, Loid and Yor were available as character sets: the "Twilight Set" and "Thorn Princess Set," and players were to pick one outfit. The other outfit could be obtained by completing all of the special missions and using those points to redeem on the Event Shop, or purchasing it with UC.
The new emote "Blade Sublime" and the melee weapon "Yor Stilettos" appear to be designed specifically for Yor but can be also used by other characters.
Other additional SPY x FAMILY-themed items that could be obtained were the "Bond Glider," bag ornaments of Anya's Mr. Chimera plush and Bond plush, "Anya Hairstyle," a Dacia featuring Anya and Bond, a parachute featuring the Forgers, a social player card and avatar with Anya, and a Yor-themed avatar frame.
The items were collected in a crate featuring Anya, Yor, and Loid:
