The SPY x FAMILY x New Hotel Otani Makuhari Collaboration was a collaboration buffet between SPY x FAMILY and the Japanese resort hotel Hotel New Otani Makuhari (ホテルニューオータニ幕張公式), simply known as The New Otani. It offered themed food, drinks, and gifts based around the characters of SPY x FAMILY.

It ran in Hotel New Otani's Makuhari branch location in Chiba from December 3, 2024, to February 28, 2025.

Description[]

New Otani Co., Ltd. (株式会社ニューオータニ, Kabushiki-gaisha Nyū Ōtani?) is a chain of hotels that operates 18 hotels in and 2 hotels outside Japan.

The collaboration with New Otani Hotels' Makuhari branch was first announced on October 22, 2024. The buffet included many themed foods, desserts, and non-alcoholic drinks based on the anime. In addition to the collaboration menu, guests were also able to try the hotel's traditional meals and sweets. The buffet was held in the hotel's restaurant during its lunch and dinner times.[note 1]

The collaboration had two phases, each displaying a different theme:

The first phase's theme was "Holiday Season," in preparation for the holidays and inspired by the Forger family spending such a festive time. It ran from December 3, 2024, to January 15, 2025. Online reservations began for New Otani Club (NOC) members on November 1, 2024, while reservations for general and New Otani Ladies (NOL) members began on November 2, 2024.

The second phase's theme was "Early Spring," for guests looking forward to the warm spring weather after winter. It ran from January 16 to February 28, 2025. Online reservations began on December 21, 2024.

Photo Spot[]

During both phases, a photo spot of the four Forger family members welcomed customers in the hotel lobby. Each member was displayed on a panel in the restaurant, allowing customers to enjoy the collaboration buffet to their heart's content while immersing themselves in the world of the anime.

  • In the posters for the first phase of the collaboration, the Forgers' outfits are based on their appearance in Episode 15 of the anime, specifically from their trip to the dog park.
  • In the posters for the second phase, Yor's outfit is based on her second dress in Episode 4 while Anya's is based on her outing attire in Episode 3.
