SPY x FAMILY Tsukuba Geo Museum (SPY×FAMILY つくばジオミュージアム, SPY×FAMILY Tsukuba Jio Myūjiamu?) is an ongoing project of the SPY x FAMILY anime. A series of events promoting education and tourism in the Tsukuba Science City (筑波研究学園都市, Tsukuba Kenkyū Gakuen Toshi?) runs from December 13, 2023 to February 28, 2025.

Description[]

Tsukuba has a history dating back 1,000 years and a wealth of natural features, including Mt. Tsukuba. It is also Japan's largest science city, where 18,000 researchers conduct cutting-edge research at around 300 institutes. Together with the "Tsukuba Tourist and Convention Association" (TTCA), a long-running collaboration project is organized under the advertising slogan Thrilling Great Tactics! (どきどきだいさくせんっ!, Doki Doki Daisakusen!?)

All events take place on the territory of the Tsukuba Geo Museum, a practical facility created to transfer knowledge about nature and culture to the next generation.

Phase 1[]

Game[]

The exhibition space on the first floor of the Tsukuba Geo Museum in Mt. Tsukuba Gate Park is an experiential facility that conveys the nature and culture of the Mt. Tsukuba region to the next generation, with the aim of promoting education and tourism. In the exhibition space, visitors can deepen their knowledge of the nature and culture of the Mt. Tsukuba region and discover "confidential documents"!

Visitors can collect codes hidden in the play equipment (exhibition stands), where the nature and history of the Mt. Tsukuba area can be learned about, and reach the "confidential document"! Visitors can then tell the staff the "password" written there and receive an exclusive reward. This is an experiential game where visitors can get original benefits that are not included.

Exhibition[]

There are six types of exhibition stands in the area:

  1. Geopark Guide Map
  2. Stone Journey (Sugoroku)
  3. Water Journey (Pinball)
  4. Mt. Tsukuba in Two (Mt. Tsukuba Model)
  5. Coastal Searchlight
  6. Kasumigaura Sandbox

Phase 2[]

Anime Production Workshop[]

Participants could apply to join an "Anime Production Workshop" with animators from WIT Studio at a satellite office in Tsukuba City, where they could draw Anya with the animators and experience the work of drawing animation.

The event was held for the first time on December 23, 2023. Due to its popularity, it was extended for two other sessions, which were held on March 2 and June 22, 2024.

Everyone's drawings of Anya and elements that convey the appeal of the Mt. Tsukuba Regional Geopark will be edited and released as a "Mt. Tsukuba Regional Geopark Introduction Video Made by Everyone" video that will be used on the official website and SNS. Benefits include the participant's own drawing of Anya and a special sticker with the scene from the illustration.

The workshop had a total of three sessions. Participation in the workshop was limited to elementary school students (accompaniment by a guardian was optional). Applicants to the sessions were selected through a lottery with a participation fee of ¥1,000.

Phase 3[]

From March 20, 2024, one room of the Tsukuba Geo Museum containing valuable materials from the SPY x FAMILY anime is on display. There is also a photo spot to take commemorative photos with newly drawn illustrations.

Tsukuba Tour Rally[]

From April 27, 2024 to February 28, 2025, visitors can participate in the "Tsukuba Tour Voice Rally: Outing with the Forger Family."

The rally is a mystery-solving voice rally that participants can listen to. Participants must go to the five designated spots in Tsukuba, where a special panel can be found. While scanning the 2D code and hearing the voices of the Forger family at each spot, participants must collect keywords to find the sixth and final spot. If participants show the voice playback page screen for the final spot to the staff, they will receive 1 of 4 original A5 clear files as an achievement award.

Tsukuba Science Tour 2024[]

As part of the project, the Tsukuba Science Tour Office organized a special tour in honor of the summer holidays. A tour of 5 locations with the solving stamp rally "Decipher the Science Code!" was held for students from July 20 to September 1, 2024.
