Naku no wa wagamama na koto to shinjite ita
Monokuro no uramichi o hashirinukete kita
Deai nante yosō mo sezu ni
Kono machi de
Hakanai sadame to shitteru yo
Dore hodo tsuyoi inori demo
Rakugaki mitai ni kesareteku
Taisetsu na omoide made
Sore demo te o nobasu seiippai
Itsuka bokura yurusareru nara
Shiawase no imi ni tadoritsukitai n da
Hisoka ni tomoru kono kawaii hi o mamorou
I used to believe that crying was selfish
I ran through monochrome backstreets
Never imagining I'd meet someone
In this city
I know this fate is fleeting
Even the most heartfelt prayers
Are wiped away like graffiti
Erasing even our dearest memories
Still, I reach out with everything I have
If one day we are forgiven
I want to discover the meaning of happiness
Let's protect this gentle light hidden from the world

Erasing even our dearest memories
Still, I reach out with everything I have
If one day we are forgiven
I want to discover the meaning of happiness
Let's protect this gentle light hidden from the world
Before I knew it even my fingertips were left stained
How many rusty doorknobs have I turned?
Just like yesterday, I thought no one would be here
Maybe this isn't the right answer
But I'll keep going, rewriting as I walk
Over the fences I once thought were too high
Turning my sorrow into strength
I want to touch the world beyond where you are
If we're ever forgiven
I want to untie the knots that keep us bound
Let's protect this fragile but warm light
Through the leaden clouds
A sliver of blue peeks
So I lift my head and get back up
Even if they call it a fantasy and laugh
I won't stop reaching out with all I have
If we're ever forgiven
I want to discover the meaning of happiness
Let's protect this gentle light hidden from the world

──Could you share the feelings you poured into this song?
- While SPY x FAMILY is delightful with its cute and comical depictions, there's always an underlying "sadness" running through the story. I wanted to create a song that doesn't shy away from that.
- Moreover, I aimed for a song where the overall direction ultimately points toward hope.
- Some might find the combination of Spitz and SPY x FAMILY unexpected. But I hope we've managed to stay true to the work.
