The Unnamed Orphanage is a rundown orphanage located in Ostania. It is operated by an alcoholic middle-aged man who has little to no care about who adopts the facility's children to the point of not even caring about having the adopter fill in the required paperwork. The orphanage, for reasons unexplained, is extremely rundown.
History[]
WISE agent Twilight receives Operation Strix, which requires him to establish a family in order to infiltrate Eden Academy, the elite private school that his target, Donovan Desmond, frequents for school events. After establishing himself as "Loid Forger" in Ostania, Twilight goes to a shady and rundown orphanage, deciding to get a child to pass the school's admissions exams first. Knowing that this orphanage is unlikely to have good records of its children's origins, Loid believes he should have an easier time fabricating a family history with the child he picks.
Loid asks the orphanage owner for a child who can read and write and is introduced to Anya, who is said to be the smartest one they have. Anya, who is actually a telepath, reads Loid's mind and is excited to learn that he is a spy on a mission. After claiming to be six years old, Anya correctly completes a crossword puzzle and shows it to Loid, which she accomplishes by reading his mind. Impressed by this feat, Loid eagerly adopts Anya, which the orphanage owner allows without them needing to do any paperwork. Loid and Anya then leave the orphanage together, with Anya bidding goodbye to the other children as she begins her new life.
