The battle aiship Enormity and a military facility in Frigis
The Military Intelligence Special Reconnaissance Regiment is a special military force within Ostania's military. Suggested by the SSS Lieutenant to be the military "jumping the gun," a certain faction stationed in Frigis, led by Colonel Snidel, seeks to overturn the current peace between the East and West by starting another war, secretly collaborating with another nation, the Republic of Albo, to fulfill their goal.
In Frigis, the regiment used the air base located there to store their battle airship, Enormity, which was the trump card Snidel planned to use in his war. Another weapon the regiment planned to use was Type F, a powerful cyborg in their ranks.

Wanting to destroy the thin veneer of peace between the East and West, Colonel Snidel leads a top-secret plan to start another war. A key factor in their plan is a microfilm from Westalis that seemingly holds treasured information. To obtain the microfilm, Ostanian agents infiltrated a research lab in Westalis for three years before stealing it. Around that time, the regiment began negotiating with an outside nation, the Republic of Albo, to assist them with their plan, with the microfilm appearing to hold significant importance to the Republic, as the microfilm being in their possession would lead to an all-out war between the East and West. The regiment also makes preparations for their war, negotiating a route to the Republic of Albo, calibrating Type F, and readying Enormity for takeoff.
Domitri and Luca discover that the chocolate hiding the microfilm is gone
After the theft of the microfilm, it is handed over to two of Snidel's subordinates, Domitri and Luca, who are ordered to secretly bring the microfilm to Frigis while taking the local train as civilians. The microfilm is hidden inside a truffle, placed in a box, and locked into a suitcase. During the trip, however, Luca loses the key to the suitcase in the train's bathroom. Domitri and Luca head to the luggage car to check on the case, where they are shocked to discover it opened and missing the chocolate. The pair find the thief, the young Anya Forger, and prepare to kill her and her dog Bond. Domitri and Luca are quickly thwarted by the arrival of Anya's mother, Yor, who beats them up when Anya claims they are "chocolate robbers" who want to hurt her. Upon arriving in Frigis, the defeated duo returns to the air base to report their failure to Snidel.
Snidel, who is in the city with four soldiers, dines at the local restaurant Rubble and Bonds after smelling their delicious food. There, he becomes acquainted with Loid Forger, to whom Snidel shows his skills as a gourmand by beating him in a competition to identify sugar types in various desserts.
Afterward, Snidel arrives at a military hangar on the air base and meets with his men outside Enormity, where they confirm that all of their preparations are complete. After his operations manager confirms that their flight plans have been sent to HQ, Snidel thanks him before killing him, after which he reveals that the man was a mole leaking their plans to Westalis's intelligence agency, WISE. Snidel prepares to leave before their enemies arrive, but he is shocked to learn from Domitri and Luca that the microfilm has been eaten. After confirming that their target is Anya, Snidel dispatches several squads in the city to search for her, planning to depart immediately after they retrieve the microfilm.
Domitri and Luca capture Anya and bring her to Snidel on Enormity. Bond fails to stop them but manages to tear off the emblem from Luca's uniform, which allows Loid to determine the identity of Anya's kidnappers. After confirming with Anya that she has not yet gone to the bathroom, Snidel decides to wait until she poops out the microfilm, after which she will be killed. With the microfilm now in their possession, Enormity takes off, heading to the Republic of Albo while keeping in touch with the military on their aeronautical radio channels. Anya is placed under Domitri and Luca's supervision in the airship's medical room. She refuses to go to the bathroom, so Snidel orders the duo to cut her stomach open, which they reluctantly agree to.
Enormity fires at Loid's plane
As this happens, Enormity is suddenly approached by an old military aircraft piloted by Loid, who anonymously requests an emergency landing on the aircraft. Snidel orders the plane to be shot down, but when it evades their gunfire and persists, he orders the use of guided missiles. Loid evades the missiles as well, but his plane gets damaged by the gunfire, prompting him to crash the aircraft into Enormity. The crash causes Domitri and Luca to lose Anya as she escapes during the chaos.
Enormity is breached by Loid and Yor, the latter making a big scene and causing a fire in the airship that threatens the fuel system and engine room. While Snidel orders his men to put the fires out, he sends Type F to deal with Yor. Type F confronts Yor at Enormity's helium tank space, which has been set ablaze by the fires. During their battles, Yor struggles to defeat the seemingly invincible cyborg, but she manages to win by setting him on fire with lipstick, causing him to explode.
Domitri and Luca beaten by Loid
Meanwhile, Domitri and Luca recapture Anya after finding her exiting one of the bathrooms and take her to Snidel on the command bridge, who keeps her tied up in the room below so he can deal with her later. He also commands Domitri and Luca to search through Enormity's sewage tank to find the microfilm if it is there. Loid sneaks around the airship and disguises himself as a lieutenant to learn about Anya's location. Before heading to the bridge, he runs into Domitri and Luca on their way out. Upon recognizing the torn emblem on Luca's uniform, he beats them up. Inside, Snidel immediately sees through Loid's disguise and exposes him as an imposter, having recognized Loid's "city scent" once he entered the room.
While engaging in a fierce shootout with Loid, Snidel attempts to kill his adversary with Type G, a gas weapon. Anya's telepathy overhears Snidel's plan and manages to free herself while opening the windows in the bridge, which expels the gas from the room. Taking advantage of the situation, Loid quickly disguises himself as Snidel and grapples with him, causing the other soldiers to hold their fire as they cannot shoot their colonel. Loid proceeds to overpower Snidel and render him unconscious. He then orders the men to abandon Enormity and continue the rest of their plan on land while taking the real Snidel with them.
The destroyed Enormity in Frigis Lake
With the crew gone, the blazing Enormity is left on a path to crash into Frigis, but the Forgers instead crash it into Frigis Lake. The State Security Service is left to deal with the military's failure, covering up the crash as an accident during a training exercise. However, the investigation team is left baffled by the absence of any survivors from the wreckage. On the other hand, Loid, aka WISE agent Twilight, retrieves the microfilm from Anya, which was stuck between her teeth, and hands it over to his handler, Sylvia Sherwood, maintaining the peace between the East and West.[1]
Uniforms[]
The regiment's standard uniform consists of a collared white shirt and a black tie under an olive green jacket that is fastened with a black belt and silver buckle, an olive green side cap with a grey circle at the middle of the flap, olive green pants, and black boots. The regiment's emblem, a sand-colored diamond, is seen on the shoulders of the jackets, which also have red and yellow marks on their shoulders and notch lapels that indicate their rank. To keep them warm from Frigis's cold weather, soldiers can wear dark green trench coats with a red lining that also includes shoulder marks. Soldiers also appear to be allowed to wear additional accessories, such as bags, suspenders, etc.
