I wanted to expand on the Image Policy page and was wonderig if it would be okay for me to do so? If you'd like, I can send the draft over discord or something else.
Also, some users on the discord suggested that Yor Briar's page name be renamed to Yor Forger for consistency with the other family members and now that she seems to refer to herself as so, could I ask your opinion on that?
Hey! Sure thing, you can expand it. I trust you so I don't really need a draft, but you could send it if you want.
About Yor, I think we should keep her as Yor Briar, since she was introduced as Yor Briar and didn't change her last name until later in the manga. It would have a different matter if she was named Yor Forger from the very beginning.
Edit: Actually, we could re-name her page to Yor Forger. The manga is far from done so this name is the name she's going to use the most now. Sorry for any confusion and the inconvenience!
Hey Undella! I've heard some big news regarding Spy x Family lately (like rumors of an anime), and noticed that the manga is already English Licensed. Just wanted to do a quick check in to see how you're doing on here. Let me know if there's anything you need!
Hey, thanks for checking in! Yeah, I've heard rumors about an anime adaption, but at this point I'm pretty sure we'll be getting one; it's just a matter of time. I think the admins, content mods, and I here are managing the wiki pretty well, so we're good for now. Thanks again for your help!
Hello. You affiliated with the Sayonara Mini Skirt Wiki a month or two ago. I would like to update you on the fact that our wiki will be changing its link to notyouridol.fandom.com as the manga was serialised under that name. You can get our new wordmark from our homepage.
I will be updating you for any future changes we may have regarding affiliations or anything that will affect it.
Hey! I noticed the navigation bar at the top of the wiki could use some updates! Most notably the addition of Bond to the Forger Family as well as possibly a link to the Forger Family page. If these could get added that would be great, thanks!
I'm Lucas with the Fandom Anime Team. I'm reaching out to invite you to the official Fandom/Gamepedia Discord server. If you do join this server, please be sure to mark your general information in the Roles channel and introduce yourself in the Anime channel. Thanks, and I hope you have a great day.
Hi Undella! I've been here a couple of times to fix the homepage, but now I'm officially introducing myself as your Wiki Manager! Happy new year! So, a little introduction, I'm a staff member for Fandom at the ground level to help with wikis in the Anime vertical. I'm here as technical and community support, as well as your direct liaison to other staff members on Fandom. If you have any of those issues, I'm your first stop!
Since this is my first time checking in with you as a Wiki Manager, is there anything I can do for you that you are aware needs taking care of?
Hello NoGround, nice to meet you and happy new year to you too! I do have a few things that needs to be taken care of, such as:
The home page, specifically the "Helping Out" section. I've gotten a lot of messages of the homepage being broken, and whenever kind editors try to fix it, it doesn't appear as "normal" for me? I don't know if that's an issue really, but it's something that's been bothering me.
Some of the pictures need converting, from JPG to PNG. Some of them also needs to be re-named into proper names.
I don't know if you take care of stuff like this, but I'm thankful for any kind of help here!
Ah, those would have been me, actually. The issue was what happened to the bottom section after the homepage, the "Feed," which is getting revamped soon, anyway. It would get all split up and not fit properly. Mostly it had to do with the divs being open when they shouldn't have been, or certain HTML properties being mixed up in the wrong order. I fixed those months ago.
So, I'm not really sure what isn't normal for you. Can you send me a screenshot of what you see and what you think you should see, maybe from a different wiki?
Before I go ahead and work on converting images (since this would take an extremely long time), I just wanted to confirm that you're aware of WebP files, how they're used on Fandom, and what this means for the original image. Let me know if you have questions.
Nvm, the home page looks good now. The problem I had was that there were some messy codes left. But all is good now.
Oops, I'm afraid I don't know much about WebP files and how they're used. I'm used to using the basic "technique", using an online converter, deleting the JPG picture, and uploading the newly-converted PNG picture. So I would be thankful for some explanation lol.
Basically, when an image is uploaded to Fandom, the original image is cached and a new image is made in WebP format, allowing for high-detailed but low-data images to be used on the wiki, and allowing for consistent file format across wikis.
This makes it so that you don't need to convert images from JPG to PNG. You can, but it's not necessary anymore.
No problem! I'll be around if you need anything, that's what I'm here for. I do have a suggestion: the Help:Community Page for new editors. It's a nifty feature that points to areas on the wiki for users to focus on. Let me know if you want it, and I'll get it activated asap.
