Kamaitachi no Yor (かまいたちのヨル, Kamaitachi no Yoru?, lit. Yor of the Sickle Weasel) is a free visual novel parody game based on SPY x FAMILY. It is a collaboration project between SPY x FAMILY and the Japanese video game developer Spike Chunsoft to commemorate the manga's fifth anniversary and the 30th anniversary of the Japanese visual novel Kamaitachi no Yoru (かまいたちの夜? lit. The Night of the Sickle Weasel), of which it shares a similar name. The game is exclusively playable on mobile devices through the special collaboration website.
Overview[]
The game is a parody of Spike Chunsoft's 1994 visual novel Kamaitachi no Yoru (released in English as Banshee's Last Cry). It is based on the events of Chapter 94 of the manga, which is featured in Volume 14 and was largely inspired by the aforementioned game. The collaboration also commemorates the release of the manga's fourteenth volume and Spike Chunsoft's video game Kamaitachi no Yoru x3.
The day before its release, the official Shōnen Jump+ Twitter account posted a teaser image of the collaboration.[1] On the day of the game's release, a special website was launched. By scanning the QR code on the site, players can play the game for themselves on their phones.
Gameplay[]
The gameplay is reminiscent of the original Kamaitachi no Yoru, with the player reading text on a gamebook while using the game's visuals and sound effects to fully immerse them while playing it. Players take control of Loid and, at certain points in the game, make narrative choices to progress.
Story[]
The collaboration game adapts the events of Chapter 94, mainly following the perspective of Loid. During the game, the player must make certain choices to advance the story and solve the mystery. Depending on what they pick, players can view alternate scenarios in the story. The following is a summarized version of the three choices that are given to the player:

- When Loid tells the other guests who their attacker is, he can tell them:

"The would-be killer is... me."
Everyone is shocked and confused by Loid's statement, including Loid himself. Loid manages to save himself from seriously being accused as the culprit by claiming that he wanted to say he would be the least likely suspect, though at the cost of disappointing Anya and bewildering Yor in the process. Loid apologizes for confusing everyone, then looks to redeem himself by sharing his actual deduction. "The would-be killer is the Red Snowman."
Loid tells himself to stop kidding around and to not confuse things any further, then advises himself to calmly settle the situation and find the real culprit. "The would-be killer is one of us!"
