Cavi Campbell (キャビー・キャンベル, Kyabī Kyanberu?) is the father of Carrol and Kim Campbell. He is one of the main organizers of the eponymous Campbelldon, an underground tennis competition in Ostania. He is the main antagonist of the Campbelldon Tennis Arc.
Appearance[]
Cavi is an older man of average height. He has sharp, drooping eyes and small brown eyes. Cavi's hair is medium-length gray, with a thick strand hanging on the right side of his face. He also has a thick moustache and a soul patch under his lip. Cavi wears a black suit with a black and white patterned shirt and a navy blue tie. In the anime, the shirt is maroon and the tie is white. He also wears semi-rimless glasses.
Personality[]
Cavi is a highly ambitious and competitive person, who seems to thrive on control and influence. He comes across as proud and authoritative, often expressing his dominance by organizing high-stakes events like the underground Campbelldon tennis tournament. Cavi expects success from those around him, especially his children, whom he pressures openly during competitions. He is cunning and resourceful, willing to use underhanded tactics including sabotaging and drugging his opponentss to secure victory. Despite this, he occasionally shows a softer side, such as when he becomes emotional watching his son's growth.
History[]
Cavi Campbell is a world-renowned collector of classical art who earned his wealth in Ostania's energy sector. Cavi keeps his art collection under his large mansion, which is heavily guarded. Many attempts have been made to steal from his home, but thanks to Cavi's security and connections at the SSS, every one of them met a quick end. At one point, he managed to acquire the painting Lady in the Sun, worth approximately one million dalc. He came under the surveillance of WISE after intelligence surfaced regarding the painting's previous owner, a former officer of the East's military intelligence who was rumored to possess documents that could reignite hostilities, including evidence of human experimentation by the East and war crimes committed by the West, such as prisoner-of-war massacres. The rumors suggested that the painting itself held a clue to the location of these documents, making it a particular subject of interest.[3]
Cavi and his illicit tennis club
Alongside his illicit tennis club, Cavi began an underground tennis tournament beneath his mansion, known as the "Campbelldon." The winning pair may select one item from his art collection. By the time of the 11th tournament, Cavi enrolled his children, Carrol and Kim, into the competition, and made many actions to tip the scales in their favor and help them win. Before the recent tournament, he promised to buy them a yacht if they emerged victorious.

Cavi and his club discuss the Foneys
As the Campbelldon's 14th tournament begins, Cavi notices a new couple entering the court: Loid Forger and Fiona Frost, who are undercover as Twain and Nafalia Foney, and quickly recognizes their abilities. He and his associates watch the matches from a balcony, commenting on how the newcomers have shaken up the competition. One associate expresses doubt about the couple's chances against the Bolic Brothers, who are secretly testing a new performance-enhancing drug. However, the Foneys swiftly defeat them. As the Bolics' manager laments the loss of his "secret weapons," the others speculate whether Cavi is concerned. Cavi proudly denies any worry, asserting that the Foneys are no match for his children.[1]
Cavi yells at his children to win
After advancing to the finals, the Foneys are locked in a waiting room where a colorless, odorless gas is released to hinder their abilities. Before the final match begins, Cavi confidently bets ten million dalc on his children, despite the odds being in the Foneys' favor. In the first game, the Campbell twins use modified rackets to gain the upper hand. While they win the first set, the Foneys quickly adapt and begin to turn the match, frustrating Cavi. In the end, the Foneys claim victory. Though initially speechless, Cavi is moved to tears while watching the interaction between Loid and Carrol, proud of his son's growth. Suddenly, one of Cavi's men discreetly whispers a message to him, informing him of a call from the SSS.
Cavi gives Lady in the Sun to the SSS
After the game, Loid and Fiona request Lady in the Sun as their prize. However, Cavi appears to inform them that he cannot hand it over due to circumstances beyond his control. As a consolation, he invites them to view the collection personally and choose another item. Cavi notices only Fiona enter and asks where her husband is, and she replies he left to sleep off his hangover and not to worry about him. Fiona asks Cavi for a recommendation for her choice and if she can leave her bag on a nearby counter, which he allows. Meanwhile, Cavi's secretary approaches him about the painting. Cavi instructs him to prepare it for the SSS, who are due to arrive in ten minutes. As the secretary gets it ready, one of the men urges him to hurry. The SSS arrives shortly afterward, retrieves the painting, and thanks Cavi for his cooperation before leaving. Later, he has his secretary see Fiona out and jokingly asks him to see if the Foneys would be interested in playing for them. Unbeknownst to Cavi, his secretary was being impersonated by Loid before the SSS arrived and the painting he gave them was replaced with a fake.[4]

Carrol and Kim Campbell[]
Cavi maintains a demanding and transactional relationship with his children, showing pride in their successes but primarily viewing them as tools to fulfill his ambitions—rewarding them with gifts and luxuries in return. However, he also displays genuine pride towards them as he sees his son Carrol speaking with his rival after the final match, and acknowledges that he has grown as a person.

- In Episode 22 of the anime, WISE's documents on Cavi share some information on his profile. In it, parts of his personal information are revealed, like his blood type, hair and eye colors, and distinguishing facial features. Cavi's name is also written as "Cabbie Campbell," which is closer to the Rōmaji spelling of his name in Japanese.
