“ | The son of Chairman Desmond is concerned for me. I'm honored. But you don't need to worry, Damian. I won't be getting hit. | ” |
— Bill to Damian Desmond[1]
|
Bill Watkins (ビル・ワトキンス, Biru Watokinsu?) is one of the supporting characters of the SPY x FAMILY series. He is the son of a major in the national army who attends Eden Academy as part of Wald Hall.
Appearance[]
Bill is a young boy who is incredibly tall and muscular for his age. He wears glasses and has short, brown hair.
Like all other male students, he wears Eden Academy's uniform—a black button-up shirt with black shorts. He wears white crew socks with black shoes.
Personality[]
Befitting his more mature appearance and family profession, Bill is an extremely disciplined individual who approaches virtually all matters with the utmost seriousness. To this end, he regularly trains his body and mind to maximize his potential, even if it is for something as simple as a game of dodgeball. This results in him having a great deal of confidence in his skills, which will immediately falter should his normally well-calculated plans fail.
Bill is also shown to be somewhat chivalrous, using far less force when competing against girls to avoid injuring them, though in extreme situations he will forsake this mindset for absolute victory.
Above all, Bill's main drive is to make his father proud, as he has an immense amount of respect and love for him. It is, in fact, around his father that he lets his demeanor slip and acts more his age, happily hugging his father and referring to him as "daddy."
Background[]
Bill was given the nickname "Bazooka Bill" by his peers for his mental and physical domination in sports tournaments since nursery school.
Abilities and Skills[]
Enhanced Strength: Despite only being a child, Bill is incredibly strong after enduring lots of training from his father. He is able to throw a ball with enough force to demolish standard military training targets and even bend a metal lamp post.
Analytical Mind: Bill can make very complicated calculations very quickly after lots of studying. He uses this to his advantage during the inter-class dodgeball match where he is able to eliminate several opponents with a single throw.
Special Moves[]
Special Move | Image | Description |
---|---|---|
Homing Slider Shot (ホーミングスライダーショット, Hōmingu Suraidā Shotto?) |
Bill's secret move during the interclass dodgeball game. It is a throw that changes course in midair, best suited for opponents who move around while dodging. Bill attempts to use this move on Anya, who hears him explaining the technique in his thoughts and dodges it by staying still.[1] |
Relationships[]
Damian Desmond[]
Damian is one of Bill's rivals aiming to earn a Stella Star at the interclass dodgeball match. At the start of the game, they briefly banter after Damian tries to eliminate him. Later, Wald Hall and Cecile Hall share a bus during a trip to the museum. Bill proposes becoming friends, but Damian states their classes are rivals, so Bill challenges him to see which class can name the most dinosaurs in the museum. After the bus gets hijacked by the Red Circus, Bill and Damian do selfless acts to calm their classmates, earning each other's respect.
Anya Forger[]
They met on the day of the interclass dodgeball match. After whittling down most of Cecile Hall's team, Bill tries to hit Anya many times, but fails at every single attempt, as she was able to read his mind to predict where he would throw the ball. Anya scares Bill when she attempts to throw the ball at him with all her strength, but to no avail as she only lets the ball bounce right to Bill's feet, allowing him to grab it and throw it back to her with little effort. Later, they meet again when he tries to warn Anya and the rest of her classmates that Donna Schlag was giving Tonitrus Bolts to everyone.
